The Basic RiderCourse®

Don't let the term "basic" fool you.  This course is designed for anyone who has never had a formal rider education course, regardless of his or her actual street riding experience.   The Basic RiderCourse® is divided into two levels.     Level 1 provides the foundational knowledge and skill required for entry-level motorcyclists.  Level 2 adds finesse and confidence that can prepare new riders for their initial experience on the street.  This course is approximately 15-hours long.

No previous motorcycle riding experience is necessary.  We supply the motorcycles.  Basic protective gear is MANDATORY and includes:  eye protection (sunglasses adequate for any of the classes) long-sleeve shirt or jacket, full-finger gloves, long pants and over-the-ankle footgear (regular riding boots, hiking boots, etc.).  DOT approved helmets are required, loaner helmets are available if needed.
Successful completion of this course exempts the student from both the riding skills & written portions of the Colorado State motorcycle license exam. Some insurance companies discount rates for successful completion of rider training; other discounts or reimbursements may be available.

•  Students must be able to ride a bicycle,
as the skill of balancing is not taught.
•  100% attendance is mandatory.

The Basic RiderCourse® and the Experienced RiderCourse®are Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) and the Colorado Department of Transportation, Office of Transportation Safety (Motorcycle Operator Safety Training--MOST) certified.  The Introduction to Motorcycling is a portion of the Basic RiderCourse®

Our team of coaches are all nationally certified by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation and State certified with the Colorado Department of Transportation/Motorcycle Operator Safety Training.

The class format is comfortable and learner based.  Classes are small to ensure individualized assistance.  The curriculum is designed with a ‘building block’ concept.  Lessons start with basic concepts and are built upon throughout the remainder of the class.
The Experienced RiderCourse®

This course is designed for those who have taken a Basic RiderCourse® and/or have considerable riding experience and truly KNOW what they are doing on a motorcycle.

The Experienced RiderCourse® is designed for riders who already have their motorcycle endorsement and  frequently ride.   This course is completed on your own street-ready motorcycle and can be completed with your co-rider (2-Up Experienced Rider)  or without (Experienced Rider).

These courses are 51/2 to 6-hours in length.  Your bike’s registration must be current and you must show proof of insurance for the motorcycle used in the class.  Instruction includes effective riding strategies, traction management, vision and perception, and risk management.  Braking, cornering, stopping and swerving techniques are practiced in the on-cycle exercises. 100% attendance is mandatory.

THE EXPERIENCED COURSE IS NOT FOR BEGINNERS!!!

Trike Course

Whether you are strictly a 3-wheeled rider or a seasoned rider changing to a trike, there are specific and unique differences between 2-wheels and three. Learn about these differences and practice the proper way to effectively stop, corner and swerve to avoid a potential crash.  You supply your own trike. A valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and basic protective gear & helmet (loaners available) is required.
